Sun Joe CJ601E 14-Amp
If you’re only in need of a machine to chip small branches, twigs and leaves around your home, the Sun Joe CJ601E will give you the most bang for your buck. This unit comes in around the $100 range. It’s an electric powered unit, so you can expect much less power. If you’re chipping small yard waste, this should be an issue. The Sun Joe CJ601E is advertised to chip branches up to 1.5 inches in diameter, however it works best with branches less than 1 inch. Constantly feeding the unit 1.5 inch diameter branches can cause the machine to jam and the blades to wear. It’s a good idea to order an additional set of blades just in case.
The Sun Joe CJ601E discharges waste from the bottom of the unit. It does not come with a collection bag, but the design of the stand makes it easy to slip a collection bin underneath for easy cleanup.
Weighing only 26 pounds, this unit is easy to move around the yard and with its small size, you can store it away very conveniently.
